Baltic Cup Finals - Aalborg 20-22nd October 2006

This was Rikke and "Dikens" last show together.

Rikke went after a top result in the 1st qualifyer and they were close, 2 seconds faster but a toe nail on the last fence and 4 faults.

Saturday and the 2nd qualifyer and Rikke NEEDED a top 10 result to be certain of a place in the Grand Prix final. They started slowly but the tempo was high by the 3rd jump and they were flying from jump to jump, clear round and a winning time.

In Sunday's GP final Rikke made a small mistake in the 1st round that was extremely expensive costing the overall Baltic Cup championship

Not the best end to their time together but 2nd overall and super memories of the little over 1000 days they were together.

With a fantastic 2nd round Rikke og Dik-Dik secure the team Nordic Championships for Denmark.

Rikke and Happy won silver in the team competition.

In the individual competition Rikke and Happy did not have lady luck on their side. 16 faults where 12 were really undeserved and they had to settle for 11th place.

Baltic Cup Skövde 2006

Rikke and Dik-Dik were is super form winning the 2nd qualification and the Grand Prix.

There were 8 clear after the 1st round of the GP and Rikke's plan was quite simple, FULL SPEED from start to finish.

Using "Dikens" fantastic pace between the jumps and his ability to turn without loss of pace or rythym they were like lightning and flew through the finishing line in a phantom time that no others came really close to.

Despite minus 20C and loads of snow it was a happy Rikke who returned to Denmark with 2 victories and great start to the Baltic Cup 2008 tournament.
