Going indoors again

Rikke is in Breitenberg with all her her horses and Irish Luck training for the start of the winter season and the big JBK show in Odense in October.

Lorenzo seems to be 100% fit again but Cora is still a few weeks from being in top form again.

July/August

With Cora and Lorenzo out of action Rikke used her time to have some fun with Irish Luck at some pony shows.

The won several classes including the 1st round of the pony National Championships.

Sam was also in action and he continued to improve his tecnique as a horse.

NBC 2009

Cora and Rikke were selected for the Danish Team at the Nordic Championships.

A fantastic ride in the first round and 2nd place was followed by a round with a single fence down and went into the finals in 2nd place. There rides were part of a great team performance winng team gold.

In the final round Rikke had 12 faults and ended up in 9th place and another horse injured!

Junior DM Middelfart

Cora and Lorenzo travelled to Middelfart in top form and we were really optimistic about our chances.

In the first round Cora was clear and finished 7th but Lorenzo picked up an unexpected 16 faults.

The following day was a repeat performance and we subsequently discovered that Lorenzo had picked up a small injury.

Going into the final with Cora with no faults was super but unfortunately she was a little tired and had a couple of fences. Ending 6th overall was a fine result after less than 6 months together.

Eschwege

This was a nice show in Germany.

Sam went well but I still need to learn to ride him as a horse and not a pony. Jumped great but that can't make up for our uncertainties between the jumps.

Lorenzo had a great trip in the GP and was really unlucky to pick up 4 faults. Still we finished 6th and that's the best we have done in a junior GP so far.

Arezzo 2009

This was only my 2nd senior CSI show and I really enjoyed the 3 weekends competition with Cora, Klilconnell Sam and Lorenzo.

All of my horses went really well and we were placed in 9 classes including 2nd place in 2 of the 130cm classes.

A really good start to the outdoor season but it is a really long drive from Denmark!
